About us: Maryon Park Community Garden and Forest School

Maryon Park Community Garden is a not-for-profit voluntary community project on the south side of Maryon Park behind the park fence.

The garden is no the site of the Old Plant Nursery.  The entrance to the Community Garden is via the double gates at the end of the park fence. Access is from the Maryon Road main park entrance next to the Park Keepers Lodge, 126 Maryon Road, Charlton, London, SE7 8DH

From April 2011,the Friends of Maryon Parks, with the help of Groundwork and grants from Capital Growth and the Olympic green heritage fund Transform, transformed the abandoned Maryon Park plant nursery into a Community Food Growing Garden. The work started in April 2102, the garden opened in April 2013.

From April 2015, the Community Garden became a council recognised voluntary community group with its own officers, management committee and treasurer.
